I support the following standardized tests for undergraduate and private school admissions.
The digital, adaptive college admissions test from the College Board. Two sections — Reading and Writing, and Math — scored together on a 400–1600 scale, taken on a laptop or tablet through the Bluebook app.
The other college admissions test accepted everywhere the SAT is. Three required sections (English, Math, and Reading) with Science and Writing now optional. Scored 1–36.
The admissions test for private and independent schools, from The Enrollment Management Association. Offered at Elementary, Middle, and Upper levels depending on the grade a student is applying to.
I tutor a variety of subjects primarily under the STEM umbrella. The majority of my students are in the middle and high school demographic, but I help with elementary students as well!
I work on Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus, with an emphasis on problem solving to ensure my students build a strong math foundation needed beyond high school.
High school physics, honors and standard. We work on translating a word problem into a picture and a set of relationships. That translation is the skill I focus on, and it's the one that carries into every science course after it.
High school chemistry, honors and standard. We work on a holistic approach while also reinforcing the importance of developing strong arithmetic skills.
Through my own enrollment with these courses to the expertise I developed in my undegraduate/graduate studies, I support the following AP subjects
Both AP Calculus AB and BC.
AP Physics C (Both Mechanics and Electricity/Magnetism)
My tutoring in undergraduate studies spans the domains of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Below is a list of the specific courses in those domains. If there is something that may fall under one of these categories, please feel free to reach out and ask to see if I may be able to help out!
Pre-Calculus (including business offerings such as management pre-calc), Calc I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra I and II.
Physics I-III (Newtonian Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Thermodynamics).
Chemistry I and II as well as General Chemistry.
